My spring capsule wardrobe 2020

With spring just around the corner, it’s time to change my winter capsule wardrobe to a spring one.

Winter has its beauty, but honestly, I couldn’t be happier when I’m putting away my jumpers, turtleneck and winter jackets.

I love wearing dresses, cute tops and sandals, so the closer the summer is, the better I feel πŸ˜‰

If you want a more detailed guide on how to create a capsule wardrobe, then click here, but if you know what they are and you’re looking for some inspiration, then you’ve come to the right place.

COLOUR PALETTE

When I think of spring I always think of pastel colours, and that shows in my spring wardrobe as well.

Where in winter, I prefer more saturated deep colours, in spring I like to change things up and go for softer lighter colours.

I like soft pinks, beiges and light greys, with a base of black, white and denim. But my style wouldn’t be mine if I didn’t also keep some corals and deeper pinks as my accent colours.

It is important to note though, that I don’t consciously decide which colours I want to wear in which season because that can feel limiting or inauthentic.

Instead, I allow myself to pick whatever I want and then I make an observation on which colours I gravitate towards, so it can inform my shopping decision in the future.

MY CHOICES

Here is everything that I picked out for this spring.

I didn’t focus on any specific numbers, but on the overall cohesiveness and versatility of the closet.

MY ADDITIONS & WISHLIST

I already added two things to my wardrobe – I finally found the pink jumper that I’ve been looking for, so I’m really excited about this new addition!

And the other piece is something I found unexpectedly while traveling with my husband. It’s a cute silk pink cami and because I love wearing camis in spring, summer and fall it was a perfect addition to my collection.

As far as any new purchases go, I don’t really have a long wishlist for spring – I just want to find a good white denim jacket and that’s it!

If you enjoyed this post, I’d be very grateful if you’d help it spread by sharing it! Thank you πŸ˜‰

Hi Kim, awesome post! I like the bases, coordinating, & accent colors picture. It’s a great idea to have a palette as a guide when thinking about how to pair clothes. I tend to wear lots of floral in spring & summer πŸ™‚ I love nature, flowery designs
